Words To Kill By was the result of a pure, unadulterated panic.

No, really. It was. 

 

I was asked to be the keynote speaker for a mini true crime con in Dallas and that required a professional digital presence for their marketing. I didn't have a professional digital presence!!

 

 I also didn't want just another bland, traditional website/social media and kept brainstorming ways to draw in the public to learn more about forensic linguistics. I wanted an interactive, cohesive place to learn about crimes involving language and to share my fascination on how just one word could make or break an entire case. 

 

 On a drive through the mountains, the name and concept hit me and the whole thing grew faster than I ever imagined.
